THOR Laser Therapy
THOR laser therapy involves the use of low-level laser light, usually between 600nm and 1,000nm, to facilitate healing and reduce the pain associated with soft tissue injuries. The light produces a photochemical reaction in the cells. There is a certain area within each cell that is sensitive to light. When the laser light penetrates these areas, it is turned into energy for cellular regeneration.

Laser Therapy Treatments with our Chiropractor, Dr Albert Skocik
Our chiropractor can examine your injuries and determine if you would benefit from THOR laser therapy. During your initial visit, Dr. Skocik, will talk to you about your injuries and pain. He will ask when the pain started and its severity. He may also prescribe digital images in order to accurately pinpoint the location of your injury.
The treatments typically last between one to 10 minutes. During your session, your will be asked to wear glasses then the laser wand will be placed over the injured area and activated. There is no need to shave or cut the skin. The light penetrates through the skin and deep into the tissues to speed up the healing process.
Most individuals notice a reduction in pain and an increase in range of motion of the injured area after the first few sessions. Acute injuries may only need a few sessions. Chronic injuries or injuries that you have had for a long period of time may need several treatments each week for several weeks. If you have arthritis or a degenerative joint disease, you may need periodic treatments in order to keep your pain under control.
