Make a Child Happy This Christmas on Your Road to Wellness

From now until December 2nd, our office will be participating in the Toys for Tots program. Begun in 1947 by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve, Toys for Tots is dedicated to making the holidays happy for thousands of children who might not otherwise receive any gifts. Join with us in helping this worthy organization make this a happy holiday for thousands of local children.

Our Harrisburg Participation

Selflessness is wonderful, and we're grateful for every donation you choose to make, but we'd like to reward all the generous people who find a little more room in their heart this year. Every time you drop off a new, unwrapped toy, you can take advantage of a free preliminary spinal exam. You'll get a neurological test, a spinal alignment check, blood pressure test and a muscle test. Afterward, you'll get a private consultation with our Harrisburg chiropractor, Dr. Skocik. You'll go over your test results together, and the doctor will explain the advantages chiropractic medicine can give in creating a healthy lifestyle.

The Toys for Tots Organization

We know you're buried in charity requests this time of year, so it's important that you find out just where your donation is going. Toys for Tots is among the top-rated children's charities in the country, with 97 percent of their donations going straight toward the children they serve. Only 3 percent of what they collect goes to administration costs, with much of their workforce consisting of volunteer Marines. Their entire mission is to collect new, unwrapped toys and to deliver them to children during the holiday season. When you come to donate a toy in our office, keep in mind that Toys for Tots has to be realistic about our society, just like everyone else. Almost all gifts are welcome, but please avoid donating toy guns or any edible treats.
