Patient History

This will include questions about your previous or pre-existing medical conditions, your family’s medical history, your history of any prior injuries and any previous treatments and treating medical professionals.

Dr. Skocik will also inquire as to when your pain started, where it is located, how you would describe it (sharp, dull, radiating) and the type of injury or condition that started it.

Chiropractic Exam

The chiropractic exam will then begin with a vital sign check including pulse, blood pressure, and respiratory rate. Dr. Skocik will then check your reflexes, ranges of motion, muscle tone and muscle strength and will also conduct a full neurological and chiropractic exam.

Diagnostic Studies

Diagnostic studies such as X-Rays, MRI’s or lab tests may be ordered as appropriate to evaluate the source of your chronic pain.

After reviewing your medical and pain history and the results of your physical exam and diagnostic tests, Dr. Skocik will inform you of his diagnosis and design an individualized chiropractic treatment plan tailored to your specific needs.
